
This was painted on 140 lb cold press watercolor paper and painted with Holbein Watercolors (as shown in the image below), and Silver Black Velvet Limited brushes (of various sizes).
On a side note (or personal level), it was actually difficult to create these layers with watercolors and for a while, I thought it was a lost cause. I don’t know, I guess others will decide. And remember, it’s a hobby and I only started using watercolors eight months ago. Soooo.
Oh yes, the masking fluid used was by Grafix, called “Incredible White Mask.” It went on smoothly and was easy to use (image, top right). The thing I liked the most was how easy it came off and, more importantly, without damaging the paper.
